Employees will enjoy having access to a time effective movement break that helps to reduced body tension associated with prolonged desk postures.
Movement Meditation
Slow, gentle, mindful movements, coupled with relaxing and restorative soundscapes. These sessions are perfect for when an employee needs a break not just for their body, but also the mind. The nature of these sessions makes them very accessible for a wide range of movement/dance abilities.
5 Minute Groover
Highly effective sessions which jam pack 5 different targeted movements with a high amount of repetitions. Given the repetitive nature of these sessions, even the most novice of dancers can follow along to the best of their ability to get the desired benefits.
Slower Tempo Sessions
Given the diverse nature of a workplace these sessions have had the tempo slowed right down. This will allow those with less dance experience and different movement capability to be able to participate in the program. Perfect execution of each sessions is not what is instructed, users are regularly reminded that if you are moving, you are doing it right.
10 Minute Mover
These sessions start with a nice gentle warm up to get the body moving, then put together 3 different moves into sequences to enhance your dance ability while alleviating the tension in your body. Sian teaches each individual dance move to give participants an in depth understanding of how each movement is put together.
Education Sessions
Education is a key to physical activity adherence. In these 10 short 2 minute videos, Blair elaborates on the principles of the program and addressed the issues facing desk based workers and why a regular movement habit is soo important. Drawing on his osteopathic practice and exercise science background these videos will give participants a greater understanding of what is happening to their body with prolonged sedentary postures.
